Craft: Back to School Necklace!
Tuesday, August 19th at 4:00pm
To celebrate the return to school, make a colorful Back to School themed necklace to wear or to decorate your locker or room! We’ll also play “Back 2 School” Bingo while we are making our crafts!

National Library Card Sign-Up Month
September 1st - 30th
Stop by the library and get library cards for the whole family!! In addition, all children who get library cards during the month of September will receive a library "starter kit". Just present your new card to a librarian in the Children's Department.
The Backyardigans: Mighty Match Up
Saturday, September 6th, 1:00pm-2:30pm
The Backyardigans find themselves on Mount Olympus playing a basketball game, in the City of Atlantis racing dolphins, fixing up a ranch in Outer Space, and finally playing with a dinosaur pup in the Stone Age! This interactive movie is sure to entertain the whole family.

Sit, Stay, Read!
Mondays: September 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th, 3:15pm-4:15pm
A non-profit organization through Hand-in-Paw dedicated to providing volunteer services to children. Sit, Stay Read! brings children together with specialty trained dogs to help them gain more confidence in their reading abilities in an individual setting at the North Shelby Library that is supportive, relaxed and furry!

We'll learn about famous Alabamians, state history, and lots of facts and trivia about our great state! Bring your lunch and we'll provide the drinks and cookies.
