Teen Leadership Council
Thursday, August 10 @ 6:30 pm
The Teen Leadership Council will meet to plan programs. Pizza will be served. Solar Eclipse Viewing Party
Monday, August 21 -- 12:30-3 pm
Come watch the Solar event of the century! Sign up to reserve your free pair of Solar Eclipse Viewing Glasses. Glasses will be handed out at the event to participants. If you would like your glasses ahead of time, please sign up to reserve your pair and then come by the library to pick them up. Beginning at 12:30, we will go over instructions for safe viewing; the eclipse will be at peak visibility around 1:30 pm. Watch the eclipse from the library patio! We will also provide a live stream in the event of bad weather or poor visibility. Supplies are limited; register while there are still spaces and glasses available! Please register individually to ensure that you receive your pair of glasses. All ages, register by clicking here.

Fridays, September 1, 8, 15, & 22 -- 3:30-5:45 pm

Anime Afternoons
Sundays, September 10 & 24 -- 2-4 pm
Come to the teen department for an afternoon of anime and snacks. The audience will pick what we watch. Cosplay is welcome! Contact Kate at 439-5512 or  for more information.

Tech Tuesdays: Engineering
Tuesdays, September 12, 19, & 26 -- 3:30-4:30 pm
The librarian will be in the atrium with a different engineering challenge each Tuesday. Stop by to try your hand at building! Contact Kate at 439-5512 or  for more information.

Manga/Comic Book Club
Thursday, September 14 @ 4 pm
Share what you’ve been reading and get suggestions about what to read for next month. Make suggestions for the library collection and get first dibs on the new stuff. Snacks will be served. Contact Kate at 439-5512 or  for more information.

Teen Homeschool Hangout
Wednesday, September 20 @ 1 pm
Can you make the best boat using only tin foil? Can you build the tallest tower or strongest bridge using popsicle sticks and binder clips? Join other 6th-12th grade homeschoolers to find out during the engineering challenge.  Registration required. Register using the online calendar.

Teen Jeopardy
Thursday, September 21 @ 6:30 pm
Compete against other 6th through 12th graders in trivia. Register using the online calendar.

Teen Volunteer Day
Saturday, September 23
Help the library and earn community service hours! The library will host several volunteer days this semester. Each time it is offered, 6th-12th graders can sign up for 1-2 hours of service. Limit 5 volunteers per day. Contact Kate at 439-5512 or to sign up for a time. 

Teen Tech: Oculus Rift
Wednesday, September 27 -- 3:30-6:30 pm
Spend 15 minutes in virtual reality using the Oculus Rift. 6th-12th graders who register using the online calendar will be sent a link to sign up for a time slot. Space is extremely limited and registration is required.
