Computers

Public Computers

The North Shelby Library offers 16 public-access Internet computers available for use by both cardholders and non-cardholders(3 visit maximum for non-cardholders). Programs available for use on public computers are Microsoft 2007 Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Publisher.

We also offer 2 iMACs; 1 is located in the Young Adult department and the other in Reference.

Proctoring

A proctor is available for test taking. There is a fee of $10.00 per test. Please contact Judy at 439-5511 for scheduling.

Faxing/Copying/Printing

Local Faxes: $1.00 per page

Long Distance Faxes: $1.00 per page

To Receive Faxes: $1.00 per page

Copies are $.20 per page for black & white and $1.00 for color

 Scanning is free.

Printing

Printing from public computers  is $.10 for black & white and $1.00 for color

Wireless Printing

Printing from wireless laptop is $.20 per page for black & white and $1.00 for color

• Find printer - Aficio MP C5501 (Ricoh)
• Under manufacturer, select "Ricoh"
• Under printer, select "Ricoh Aficio MP C5501" 
• If model is not listed, update the list and choose the latest download.
• If you have any further problems, please go upstairs to the Reference Desk.
